Motorola Started releasing android lollipop 5.1.1 OTA update for Moto E 2nd gen 4g model (Surnai).This is second Ota Update for Moto e 2nd gen ,size of the update is about 402.2 MB OTA update system version 23.51.65.en.03 including Stage Fright and bug fixes
1.Navigate to settings -> about->Check for Update
Previously Motorola released Soak test of Android marshmallow 6.0 for Moto X Play ,Moto G 3rd gen and Moto g 2nd gen as according to the official device list of Motorola Moto E 1st gen and moto e 2nd gen will not get android marshmallow Update.
So we can say that this update will be the last update of Moto 2nd gen 4g model.
#How to get OTA Update in Moto E 2nd gen (4G)
1.Navigate to settings -> about->Check for Update
2.You will see a notification showing a new System software update system version 23.51.65.en.03 is available like below image.
3.Then tap on Yes,I’M IN and select Wi-fi or Mobile Network and tap on DONE ! Your Update will start downloading.
4.After downloading the update it will automatically reboot your device and install the system update.
5.It will take at least 15 min to update your device or more.After installing the update your device is ready to Use.
Motorola has updated their list moto e2 "LTE" model will be getting marshmallow
I have rooted my phone so cannot install OTA directly.Can some one please post the Zip File of the 402 mb file here…
