BlackBerry has launched its latest smartphone called BlackBerry KEYone in India. While the international variant of the KEYone is manufactured and sold by TCL, the Indian variant comes from Optiemus Infracom. It comes with better specifications than the international variant and the company is calling this device as ‘BlackBerry KEYone Limited Edition Black.’ It costs ₹39,990 and is sold exclusively through Amazon India from August 8th. As we said earlier, the Indian variant comes with dual SIM dual standby support and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity for using the Jio 4G SIM. BlackBerry KEYone QWERTY Specifications
It even offers 4GB RAM and 64GB storage compared to the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage on the international variant. Apart from these two upgrades, rest of the specifications remain same on both the devices. It sports a 4.5-inch display with Full HD (1620 x 1080 pixels) at 3:2 aspect ratio. There is also a Corning Gorilla Glass laid on top for extra protection. Beneath the display is the 4-row QWERTY keyboard that also supports capacitive gestures, and every button can be customized for two shortcuts. The fingerprint sensor is integrated right into the space button at the bottom.

Under the hood is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. In the camera department, there is a 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor with PDAF, EIS, f/2.0 aperture, and dual tone LED flash. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and 84-degree wide angle lens. The primary camera also supports 4K video recording. The 3,505mAh battery in the KEYone is also the largest battery we have ever seen on any BlackBerry device. It also supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology that can charge from 0% to 50% in just 36 minutes.
The smartphone also includes MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 2TB. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, FM Radio, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio jack, and USB 3.1 Type-C port. It measures 149.3 x 72.5 x 9.4 mm and weighs 180 grams. The device runs on latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box and is promised to receive the monthly security updates. It offers stock Android UI and includes BlackBerry Hub and DTEK by BlackBerry services.
